To all my fellow bloggers and friends,
I had another visitor last weekend here in the big apple. The big man himself arrived on Thursday night and we made the most out of the sights until Sunday afternoon. We saw Ground Zero, the Statue of Liberty (from a distance), the East river and all its old bridges, the Empire State building, Times Square, the Natural History Museum, and as an added bonus, the NYC Marathon in Central Park....lots of walking. We even managed a couple great meals in the city and a couple of late nights!
...Me thinks so! I've been watching these guys and they look pretty good. The are alot different than the young team of the past 4-5 years that played exciting, emotional hockey but never quite got the job done. This year they have some acquired veterans that will guide them to the ultimate goal! Go Oil Go! Im officially on the Edmonton wagon!
As you may or may not know, may or may not care...Howard Stern left "terrestrial radio" back in December of 2005 to join the the new aged Satellite radio world. Well,...I subscribed and have been enjoying satellite radio at home now for a couple of months. I just very recently got even more techno advanced and bought the car kit for my home receiver and now can listen to Howard and the gang on my drive to work in the mornings and home again. If you dont have satellite radio, you are missing out! Totally uncensored, unlimited, and getting broader and broader everyday. Sirius is the satellite of choice and Volkswagen just announced the other day that they are going to start manufacturing their vehicles with the radios in their new cars! Ya its "pay radio", but no more than a couple Starbucks coffees, 1.5 beers, or 6 subway rides a month. Well worth it.
This is really funny - got a call from a reporter for a "news paper" in Clearwater, BC Canada, where I used to live (in a former life)- they wanted to run a story about Journey. They wanted to tell the story of her and I moving to NJ, her becoming a model dog for Martha Stewarts magazine and patio furniture line. They mention my name a couple of times but were really after Journ! Take a read on it. The paper is called the "Clearwater Times" - roughly the same circulation as the NY Times...or not. Here is the link (www.clearwatertimes.com/) for "Journey Takes Nip out of Big Apple".
